Basically, those 2 words are hello, you should recognise the first two is in French and the second one, Italian.
As I have said in my posts earlier and on twitter, I went on a cruise this holiday! An European one.
-Which means, I've been hearing people speak in French, Italian and Spanish. Whether is it the guest on board or the crews.
Which then means that I've picked it up a little since I've been listening to people speak in these languages because whenever an announcement is made, it's always first made in French, Italian, English then Spanish.
Yeap! I had to listen realllll hard when they speak in English and if I couldn't catch what they're saying, it was just too bad for me.
Friday morning, all packed up and ready!!
Over at pasir panjang...
YAY!!! Ready to board the cruise!!
Then, we started raining.................
We were still in Sg btw, though we were already on board the cruise. Basically, everytime the cruise stops at a certain destination, people are able to get down for a tour or just go around freely on their own!
sorry, I had to do this..............
It's just a habit for me whenever I get into a hotel and see a large mirror in the toilet.
I just had to do it.
oh wellz.
I was staying on the 5th floor!!
And if you were wondering, we weren't actually exploring the place. Maybe a little? But our main aim was actually to find where the eatery and restaurant was. WE WERE REALLY HUNGRY!!
After eating, we went up on the capri/deck which was on the 13/14th floor
And the view........................................
nah, no view. we were still in SG.
There was even a theatre in the cruise!!!! Every night after dinner, a performance will be put up by their own crew!
Even so, the fact that it was by their own crew, the performances were realllllllllllllllly good! Almost all of their crew members are talented!! They can really sing really really well!!!! And by that, I actually meant opera kind of well.
I don't get it why they aren't doing operas and all but are serving on the cruise. really.
Alright, theatre.
Back in my cabin. And the photo of the cruise which I took earlier on, way up, already started sailing while for mine, still in SG -.-
Then, dinner time!!!!!
Only the restaurant is open during dinner. Which is a 7 course meal!!
So yeah, I had western food, 7 course meal daily on the ship. BUT GUESS WHAT! I lost 1kg -.-
Doesn't even make any sense? lol
And around 8pm, the cruise finally started moving..............
went to the theatre to catch the performance!!
And sneaked into the casino..
And got stucked there obviously.. It was just so exciting to watch. Would be even better if I could play though :/
Exchanged some coins. A little but yeah.... everything on the ship is basically in euros!!
Nah, no gambling. I DIDN'T GAMBLE!! Instead, we played in the arcade..
Visited the library after that.
Ordered hot chocolate. And their hot chocolate was reallllllllllllly rich. And thick. So think that it was pretty undrinkable.
Supper time!!
Back in my cabin.
And sat and watched the sea from my window view till 7am.
Morning faces.
And we reached our first destination. Port Klang!! -KL!!
Didn't get down though, I went to KL too many times. So I visited the gym and jacuzzi instead.
Just visit. Not exercise.
And went for lunch.
Super mini apple.
And watched my bros play mahjong with my grandma after that. I WANNA LEARN HOW TO PLAY MAHJONG!!
Time for Jacuzzi and Sauna!!
LOL. TRYING TO ENTERTAIN MYSELF PRETENDING TO BE A REAL ARTISTIC PHOTOGRAPHER.
Apparently failed.
We had art and crafts lesson everyday as well!!
Then dinner again.
Uhm, the crews really love performing and they usually put up a show every night at the dinner table.
3rd day on cruise!! PHUKET!!
One of the waiters I've met and one of my favourite, Delgado from Brazil.
YAY WE'RE REACHING THAILAND!!
At phuket, we had to take a tenderboat to the island because this ship couldn't dork at the beach.
LOL!
Less than 10 mins and we reached phuket island!
Can you see how clean the water is!!!???????????!
We went on a tour a phuket. First stop, elephant company.
Where we had our elephant ride.
Some monkey show. Boringggggggggggggg
Then elephant show.. Poor elephants ): The elephants were so polite!! Esp the baby elephant. She kept saying thank you!! Which I could free them and put them in some elephant jungle and take care of them instead of having them stay there to do tricks.
Visited one of the largest and oldest temple in Phuket
looks like universal studio. lol
k, this is pretty scary. The girl(?) there...
DID YOU SEE THE BUDDAH UP ON THE MOUNTAIN?? The mountain is pretty far away (I used zoom that's why it looks so big) But even if I didn't use zoom, the Buddha can actually be seen from superrrrrrrrrrr farrrrrrrrrrrrr awayyyyyyyyyyy!!
Went to Cheshunut factory after that. (idk how to spell it)
Was so happy I found milo!!!!! I cannot live without milo longer than 3 days! So happyyyyy!! But I got pretty disappointed after drinking it. Their milo doesn't taste like milo at all.
Back to take the tenderboat back to cruise!
The lighted thing there is our cruise.
ok, so this was when my cruise trip started to become a little sucky. I took a different boat back and I forgot to take my motion sickness med.
Guess you can guess what happened after that eh..
Still, I went for dinner...
After drinking my soup, I vomited everything out and had to head back to the cabin to change.
Didn't know why I held it in and try not to vomit.
It really feels so much better after vomiting!! Though I was all dirty and smelly. lol.
So yeah, back to shower and then right after that I actually went back to the restaurant for dinner.
Talk about me eating too little huh. I ACTUALLY EAT A LOTTTTTTTTT.
And went for the midnight bbq at the capri for more food.
And I found out they actually have one of my favourite sauce on cruise!!
TABASCO SAUCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This made me enjoy the food even more.
This ship actually stopped at phuket for 2 days. But I didn't go down on the second day in phuket fearing the tenderboat ride because I didn't want to feel unwell again.
So breakfastttttttttt
LOL
Pardon my enthu mom up there.
And I asked for Tabasco sauce.
Chanced upon this lip ice thingy and decided to buy it for this lip ice thing saved me from looking sickly during prom night this year!!
I was damn pale and looked as if I'm a ghost or something and thanks to Theo, she lent me her lip balm so I wouldn't look so sickly.
And there was this super duper anorexic woman on cruise with us. She's a real example of anorexic! NOT ME!!
Lunch time!!!!
The crews there are really nice!! Because there were quite a few groups of cheenas on board and a few Japs who couldn't get used to the daily European, Italian and western food, they crews on board made an effort to change the menu and also have some Jap/chinese cuisine!!
Efforts noted!!
Lol. They thought Dragons are pretty Japanese.
YAY! MISO SOUP!!
Dinner!!
I really had to have maggie after so many days of eating European food. CAN DIEEEE.
Peneng the next day!!!!
Found it!! This wasn't the only famous one but we couldn't be bothered to find it anymore. We decided to just settle for this old shop filled with lots of people.
I have to say this grandma here makes the best fried idk what, ngoh hiam everrrrrrrrrr!
YAY! MILO!!
Their laksa is kinda like mee siam but it's laksa! And it's really good!!!!
Talking about it now makes me drool. Really wanna go back there for it now!
Yes, this is what I was talking about. The grandma makes really nice whateveryoucallthis. It was realllllllllllllllllly good!! Ok, I feel like going back there now. lol ):
Chengdol was pretty good too.
And Peneng's chao kuay tiao!
Then for dinner,
GALA NIGHT!!
Guess there's no need to me to explain about it? Everyone had to dress up for the GALA dinner.
It was also a farewell dinner for us before we the cruise goes to Malacca and then head back to Singapore.
We were wondering who's the people sitting at the table next to us because they were never present throughout the week!!
Don't they need dinner?????
And on that night, we found out why.
They were the captains of the ship!!
Looking so smart. I think I wanna be a captain too! heheh. I'm honestly considering!!
not nice though.
OH! btw, the guy behind me was our waiter.
he's really nice and he really takes care of us but sometimes, he really gives us too much food to finish.
His name is Jeorge btw
Farewell performance
Didn't get down at Malacca because we have to take a tenderboat to the shore. Didn't want to risk feeling unwell so I decided to stay on cruise. I tried the Turkish bath which is realllllllllll good!!
And next morning, we reached Singapore.
Overall experience was pretty ok except for the day where we got down to ship and took a tenderboat to phuket then, I felt sick.
Rest were pretty ok. I was actually counting down the days back to Singapore because I was pretty home sick!!
I was like
me: yay!! 1 more day and we're back to Singapore!
dad: stupid leh. you having holidays and you're counting down.
me: I'm home sick.... :/
dad: home sick? you missing who. your whole family is over here!
me: my bed lah! my room??! Then you meh!
But if I were to rate clubmed and compare it to cruise, I must say clubmed is better. In many many many ways. Especially variety of food wise, food quality wise and staff service. I feel like a princess over at clubmed but duh, because clubmed is pretty much for the ATAS but still..
I hope you guys spent your holidays well!!
:)
