After listening to everyone's opinion about other parties and all,
I HAVE BECOME PRO-PAP!!
Don't scold me. I decided to support PAP because of all your opinions about them, good and bad!Because the more the other parties condemn them, the more the citizens complain about why they think PAP suck, the more I find them making NO SENSE AT ALL!!!!!!
I asked around, even the communist because I know a few of them and here's what I hear most of the time.

LOL!!!! And in what ways did they cheat all your money?????????
By the housing policy and GST. --
People are angry because of the Market-driven pricing for new HDB flats. AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT.
It makes perfect sense to raise the pricing if there's high demand for it. Even business people do that. Why can't the government do it? And what rights do the people who are in business have to raise the pricing of their goods because of high demand if the governments can't do it?
Next is the BTO system in the housing policy. If you're angry with the BTO system, pleaseeeee migrate and go to places with bigger piece of land. Singapore is just a little red dot! How do you expect the government to build as many HDB flats for people to live in if there's limited land?????
Then, GST.
Initially, I didn't know what GST was for and what this whole election thing is really about. BUT I MADE AN EFFORT TO FIND OUT THIS YEAR. (It's time for me to know anyway, I'm going to be 17!!)
So GST = TAX.
And Governments collect taxes for building roads, repainting stuffs, help the poor etc.
[Extra GST revenue collected = $1.9b while extra spending on helping the poor =$0.41b]
OK, before I continue, please look around Singapore and compare US, with some other counties.
I bet our country is x100000 better than other countries. Just take a look at our MRT stations and compare it with the "train stations" overseas. I've taken the "express train" (EXP T) in another country before and I tell you, their EXP T stations suck x100000.
You think squeezing in the train during peak hours is annoying? The one I took overseas is WORSE!!!
You don't even have any space for you to breathe!!!!!! It isn't air conditioned and worst of all, you get unwanted "free hugs" by people!!!!!!! Btw, even if squeezing is annoying, you people brought it upon yourselves!
WHO TOLD YOU TO SQUEEZE IN THE FIRST PLACE. AND WHO TOLD YOU TO GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE LATE!!!!
Back to point, I think Singapore is beautiful. And even if it's not, you guys made it ugly! I see dustbins everywhereeee and next to the bins, I see litters.
(One example, take a walk from the MRT station at gombak to Good view)
The bins are just in front of you and yet you have to throw your litters on the floor --
K, maybe you threw it in the bin. The wind blew the rubbish out of the bin. Can't be helped.

In other countries, litters can be seen everywhere because there isn't a dustbin. But in Singapore, you can find dustbins everywhere but people still litter.
So don't you dare complain about Singapore being ugly because the governments made it nice but you people destroyed it!!!! >:@
I do not disagree that the politicians in Singapore are earning too much because they're earning 3 times more than the pay of Obama.
1st position in among the 10 best paid politicians in the world is PM Lee. He earns about $3 million per year! While, Barack Obama, President of the United States of America, is earning only $400 000.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY ARE EARNING SO MUCH. YES, THEY SHOULD BE EARNING MORE THAN ANYONE OF US BECAUSE THEY ARE GOOD GOVERNMENTS AND AREN'T CORRUPTED BUT 3 TIMES MORE THAN THE US PRESIDENT IS REALLY...................
AND HEY!, look at what most of the oppositions parties are saying!! They said that if you vote for them, they'll groom political leaders who have the passion to serve the public and they'll cut down their own pay!!!!!! WHAO?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!

FYI, I'm not directing this at anyone but most of the people who are against PAP are those with little education, or are earning little income.
And Sandra, is right about these few points
- sandriyya No one owes you a living. You want something, earn it. Not vote for other politicians so that you can sit n wait to be given benefits.
- sandriyya And complaining about ministers' pay? Really? What makes you think that your desired politicians will lower their salaries huh?
- sandriyya When there's emergency situations like economic downturns, how'd the country survive w/o sufficient reserves and capable leaders? It won't.
- sandriyya Cheaper everything = lesser govt reserves and lower standard of living. You want it, go get it loh!
I hope those who are against PAP because they're earning lesser taught their kids (if they have any) that there's no free lunch in this world.
But then again, maybe not. They don't even know it themselves. They're blaming PAP for earning less.

Which brings me to my last point. -I am glad to announce that I did study Social Studies and I am not totally slaking in class!!!!!!
PAP built, and is still building a large Citizen Army to defend Singapore and the other parties are saying that they'll downsize the Army and reduce national service to 15 months.
IS THAT WHY SO MANY 21-25 YEARS OLD PEOPLE ARE VOTING FOR TH OTHER PARTIES??
DIDN'T YOU LEARN IN SOCIAL STUDIES THE PRINCIPALS OF GOVERNANCE??
Leadership is key!
Governments are supposed to do what's right instead of what's popular.

P/s. I'm justsaying# don't have to over react. Other parties are also good in different ways. But I just don't think that there's a need to go to the extent of cursing PAP and condemning them for mistakes they've made. They've done a pretty good job in building up/maintaining Singapore.

Read. I don't think the blogger is wrong in her perspective. Or rather, she isn't wrong at all. But the message I'm trying to convey on my post is that PAP, compared to the rest of the parties is still a better party to vote because IN MY OPINION, I don't think the other parties are reliable. Like for example, they said they would cut down their pay. And I do not believe that they will. Who will work so hard, get a political post JUST BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO SERVE and would be glad to cut down their pay? Not me, and I bet you wouldn't too.
